Well this is probably the last HOT weekend of the summer. Sure we will have nice days, even hot days, but there will be the hint of fall in the air, a crispness. I already see the color changes in the trees, the growing grass is slowing, fall is coming. Soon we won't be shopping the farmers market, but we will be shopping the pumpkin patches. I love the summer, not the 110 degree day summer, but the sitting outside in shorts watching the stars shine at midnight summer.
Today is a busy day, we have my son's Kung-Fu graduation, a trip to the library,(a family favorite) and a Bar-B-Q at a friends house, a last blast with a large group of our best friends, our family who means so much to us. A few will be missing, other things on their plate. That's OK they will be with us in our hearts.

Labor Day Fun
Well two more days till school starts!!! Whoooo Hoooooo!!!
Today was a lot of fun, I slept in, doesn't happen too often. The wife and I got to sit around talking and drinking coffee while the three year old slept (our 13 year old was at the grandparents) We decided that we needed to do one last family thing before school started..........a movie.
We discovered that one of our older theaters in town is now a discount theater that charges only $3.00 and the movies are still pretty new.
It was time for the three year old's first movie experience and if it didn't work out we wouldn't be out of forty bucks.
We picked-up the boy and headed out. We chose "Ice Age III" and I'm happy to say that she did great, very little fidgeting or acting up. She even cleaned-up around our seats when the movie was done.
My boy is starting 8th grade this year, a magical year in my life I hope the same for him. I miss the little boy, my little buddy but I am excited for the young adult he is becoming.
Oh well enough for now, I hope everyone has a great night!

Wet Labor day
Well here is my first blog.
It's a horrible wet weekend here today, record rain, usually September is the nicest month around here.
Oh well. We will make the best of it.
I'm sitting with my three year old daughter watching a show about sharks, she keeps asking me if this fish or that fish has friends. I tell her they do, but I realize I have no scientific proof so I hope she doesn't call me on it some day. That could be an akward call from college.
Well going to go for now, I will try to stay interesting.
